Pintrest is full of surprises.I am happy to admit my addiction is bordering the need for intervention! My latest discovery was editor Paula Joye’s snapshots of Dubai. The fellow Aussie and editor of Lifestyled shared some fabulous snaps from her Souk scouting visit.Yes, you all know how much I love trawling through souks! (see Oman post).
After seeing stalking the Fashionista’s Dubai files, I realised that after 1.5 years of living in and blogging from Dubai, I’ve never shared my favourite places .Ludicrous!
Conveniently, Shop Til You Drop Magazine recently asked me to contribute to a Dubai shopping story so I've included it below as a Part 1 of "Life in the Desert according to Jasmine".
You can follow Paula on Pintrest here and of course all things Jasmine and Will here.
My florist Mo called today, he was rather excited about a new shipment of white orchids! Anyone who follows my blog will know I'm a die hard orchid fan! So tomorrow its off to visit Mo and pick some new orchids for my ginger jars!
A few orchid snaps I found in my inspiration file...
A big thanks to little sis Sharni who kept you entertained while I was busy working in London! Don't forget to check out Sharni's shoe label Nancy King. I'm currently rocking these gold pineapple beauties!
As we bid farewell to London Fashion Week, the limelight is now set on Milan. The city will play host to some of our favourite fashion houses who will be rolling out their Spring Summer 2013 collections!
Designers that have already showcased their designs are Gucci, Alberta Ferretti, MaxMara and Francesco Scognamiglio. Here are my favourite pieces from the shows!
I'd be lying if I said these photos were only from LFW. To be honest, I really haven't loved many of the outfits this week. NYFW is another story. I fell in love with editors, bloggers and buyers all over again.
Here are some things I learnt about this years fashion week street style.
1. Skirts are huge, I'm talking bigger than Ben Hur.
2. Kenzo will probably have their biggest season to date with their lion jumper seen on every little fashionista.
3. Prints are huge. Mixed with another print is super cool.
4. Anna Dello Russo still looks like a nutjob.
5. Tees are the bomb dot com, especially Givenchys Rottweiler.
6. Florals, yes.
7. I love Christina Centenera.
8. Celine is still killing it in the bag department but I have a sneaking suspicion the Mulberry 'Willow' will become the new 'it bag'.
Things I LOVE... sleepwear, weekends, family, warm weather, textiles, salt water, the smell of freshly cut grass, Bali, dancing, coconut, diptyque, sketching, Vogue Living, blogging, blue & white, frangipanis, Hamptons meets Bahamas interiors and sewing.
